While looking at Evert de Vreugd paintings one cannot miss the sparkling enamel of the bodywork of the cars involved. His works are so incredibly realistic that one actually believes them to be genuine photographs of a Citroën DS or a Aston Martin. Only from a very short distance the painting, like so many other painted pictures, gives away what in fact it is: oil on canvas. Yet Evert is not just intrigued by perfectly restored cars.
